Don’t expect anything from McCarthy in the next Congress. He has already signaled that he is on board with an omnibus spending bill. McCarthy wants to control things. That means that he and few of uniparty friends will write the omnibus bill and sends it to the floor for vote before anyone can read it. Republicans will be told to vote for the omnibus bill. This is tantamount to disenfranchising Americans. Citizens’ voices cannot be heard in Congress because their representatives are not heard. Our votes mean nothing.
Good God McConnell is a worm.
McConnell has turned into Bob Dole, “the tax collector for the welfare state.”
If they wait, The GOP House will initiate a new bill for the Seantebto vote on, rather than vote on the democrat bill on the table now.

When the GOP took control of the House in 94, the flat tax was his hobby horse. Then, toward the end of the session, he said it would have to be shelved until the next Congress. Over the years fiscal responsibility is always right on the other side of the next omnibus, the next CR, the next time we take control of Congress. I really loathe these people, and I loathe the fact that electing the other side is even worse

Stopping Russian aggression and denying Russia a stronger monopoly position on oil and gas and grain and weapons and steel is definitely in American interests.
Russia has already caused 8 million refugees. How big a humanitarian crisis does it have to be before you’re willing to lift a finger?
The lessons of WWI and WWII is that you need to stop aggressors early. If you don’t, you end up fighting them when they are stronger. We have a chance right now to fight them without even sending any of our own soldiers, just weapons. This is fighting aggression on the cheap.
