I believe that there are studies that there is more domestic violence among lesbian couples than straight couples. But it might have been less among gay male couples.

I had a homo boss several years ago whose significant other, “BJ” (I know ... I know...) and their “friends” were around a lot of the time. They had rental properties that they only rented to other like themselves. They were forever fixing holes in walls from punchings and stabbings, broken doors and fixtures, and such resulting from the boys’ hissy fits. Domestic violence was on display all the time.
