Rather than refund $100 every other year, they are redistributing tax dollars to publicly fund campaigns? If Seattle and Oakland are doing it, it’s a bad idea.

the Seattle program had ” increased participation in lesser areas” of the city and “voter turnout from communities of color,” Democrats are still winning and running things with no improvement, right?

Since when did Oakland get on the wash board? The politicians and bureaucrats have been doing this around the globe now for the past 20 years.

I propose that only illegal aliens be allowed to vote in all U.S. elections

Okay, so I am (the odd) Republican in Oakland. Not only will the people I vote for not win, some of my tax dollars will be used to support the candidates that I am voting against.
Seems legit...

I believe it would violate the first amendment by forcing taxpayers to fund a candidate they disagree with.
To: Twotone
Isn’t this almost a “pay to vote” scheme? It looks like a money being paid out to residents to contribute back to the Democrats.

They learned it from labor unions. Should be illegal, but hey these are Communist Revolutionaires that are elected officials.

I can see the black market now: “Hey, I will sell my $25 voucher to your campaign for $15.”

So I wonder if they will ask you, are you or are you not a member of Donald Trump’s cult. I guess if you said you are, they won’t give you the money...

So you are a REPUBLICAN in Oakland? Where does the Oakland Republican Party meet? Is it a booth at Denny’s? 🤓
