Thomas was only pointing out that, in his opinion, the marriage decisions could be revisited because they depended on similar flawed justification as Roe. He didn’t disagree with the outcomes only saying the court might want to look at new avenues of legal theory in future cases on those matters. The majority rejected his idea and went to great lengths to say we’re only shooting down Roe because it uniquely leads to the death of a human being.

Go back and read then opinions on the marriage case and the same point is made but now suddenly it’s something to panic about because Roe was ended.

I understand, but it wasn’t prudent to discuss that. His comment had no effect on the Dobbs decision, there was no need to even raise the point. It simply gave ammunition and momentum to the Dems in the election and now, to pass the anti-Christian “marriage” law
