Can a computer manually throw a railroad switch that fails to respond to a remote command?
I never said de-man the train. one guy is good enough. when manual intervention is required and the repair crews are an hours or so out.
The railroads will be lucky to have any workers in 25 years.
The average age is 45. Plus the number in the 20 to 30 year old range is so low its unsustainable.
Plus the management of these railroads is atrocious. They’re run by shitheads who can’t retain employees, but are good burning through them.
Perhaps we can offshore are rail system to Asia.(Sarcasm)
