Time for Biden to sell off our ‘Strategic Reserve’ of weapons to save a piece of Russia called Ukraine from Russia.
Russia has gained one thing from this; the knowledge that their military needs to be overhauled, and soon.
We also have a problem, in that our military industrial complex is more interested in profits than in winning wars. Just look at what happened in Afghanistan. I would have written this off as a conspiracy theory just a few years ago, but not anymore. How do we fix that?
That would likely result in a flood of new Russian recruits.
That must be why the Russian missiles and drones all rely on parts smuggled in from the USA. Is that another example of Russian genius strategy at work?
We have already played this game, and Russia (the Soviet Union) of the day lost. Russia certainly DOES NOT HAVE the production capability to out-manufacture the USA plus NATO countries. The unstated assumption is that the slugfest is not also depleting Russia’s available arms...which is ludicrous.

I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb!
“”The US has sent 60% of Stinger Missiles and that production line has been closed for 14 years.””
U.S. Buys More Stingers After Missiles’ Success in Ukraine
“The Stinger production line was closed in December 2020, the Pentagon has said. In July 2021, Raytheon won a contract to manufacture more Stingers, but mainly for international governments, according to the U.S. Army.”
“U.S. troops have limited use for the current supply of Stingers (snip) but the United States needs to maintain its supply on hand while it develops the next generation of a “man-portable air defense system.”
The is a difference between “running out of arms to send to Ukraine” and “running out of arms”.
“Russia has gained one thing from this; the knowledge that their military needs to be overhauled, and soon.”
Russia doesn’t have the money or the technology to do that now.
The overhaul of their military had already taken place before they invaded Ukraine, that is why we Russia watchers and Russia itself are so shocked at how nothing changed in the Russian military, it was all stolen.
I was shocked myself. Even if I don’t believe half of what comes out of our media, the fact that they didn’t steam roll Ukraine is proof enough.
