That's odd, because I've spent, well, waaaaaay too much time online in my life, over the past, hmm, circa 38 years (BBS/telnet/internet), and the only time I've ever seen a threat (other than those feeble email blackmail attempts) was in media Panic Porn, and I doubt that any of them really happened.
