Intelligent people are resilient

Good point. The Soviets undertook a titanic effort to dismantle their factories and transport them to safer sectors in Siberia and the Caucasus….more than 30,000 tanks by the end of 1942….like then, Russia today has no shortages of commodities, metals, materials, unlike the West.
Russia today has far less people to use than it did in WWII.
Much of their advanced equipment depends on supplies from the West.
I do not claim to know how this will turn out.
Ukraine has surprised everyone with how resourceful and resilient they have been, just as Russia has surprised everyone with how corrupt, hollow, and poorly lead they have been.
All of that is probably changing as we write. Anyone who is sure how it will work out is delusional.
It is not at all clear who will prevail and how it will work out.
I highly suspect Ukraine is seriously working on an atom project.
It appears to be the only thing which major powers will respect.
