my guess is the loud music, rude neighbors, swearing, arguing and gunshots at night, fears of violent crime, etc. so common in black communities are the causes of sleep deprivation. These are all self inflicted wounds, people...
I’m not sure how anyone could tell since most minority community residents wake up at crack (pun intended) of noon.
Getting nightfall earlier would seem to be a boon for drug sales.
I always associated the difficulty in getting to sleep with a guilty conscience.
