An then in the process of damage control: Former President Donald Trump distanced himself Friday from a pre-Thanksgiving dinner at his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida with Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, and white supremacist Nick Fuentes, claiming he didn’t know the identity of the far-right activist who was unexpectedly brought along with the rapper.

Doesn’t Trump have something like a social secretary who can research these people? Then there needs to be someone who says, ‘Meeting with so-n-so’ is a poor idea Sir!’. I have been getting the impression Trump like most rich powerful (particularly politicians!) is surrounded by sycophants. Leaders need feedback particularly negative feedback which is the hardest to accept.

I see little to be gained by catering to Kayne West’s delusions. Does he really have that big a following in the black community that he needs to be placated?
