> “Kiley, who was endorsed by Donald Trump, was one of the former president’s few successes in the 2022 midterm elections. Several Republican leaders, who were expecting a red wave, blamed Trump for their less-than-expected outcomes after the party failed to flip the Senate or win the House majority by as wide of a margin as projected”
Complete Utter Horsesh*t!
Looking at the House of Representatives, the former president officially endorsed 174 of the 430 Republican candidates.
Of these 174 endorsements, 159, now 160, of Trump’s chosen candidates emerged victorious.
The 15, now 14, who did not win have been played up nonstop in the liar media, so much so one would be persuaded to think Trump’s endorsement was a kiss of death.
But of the 14, more than half were victims of election rigging and are fighting back against it. The 14 number will very likely decrease.
I endorsed all the Republican incumbents. I have a 98%+ winning rate.
(Of these 174 endorsements, 159, now 160, of Trump’s chosen candidates emerged victorious.)
But but but we must abandon President Trump!!! /TDS
Stop using the number of winning candidates as proof of Trump's appeal. It's stupid. Those winning candidates were largely in deep red places. Republicans not endorsed by Trump would also have won there.
I'm guessing that the 15 or so losses were in purplish districts. Therefore, the losses logically are valid indicators of Trump's effect on the election. Those 15 losses may explain the Republican underperformance all by itself. In a "wave" election the winning party sweeps the purple Congressional districts, which didn't happen.
