What are the rates for each group?
I don't have world stats, so for the vaccine, 80.6% of the US has received at least one shot of covid vaccine. That's 80% * 320 million people = 256 million people got at least one shot in the US.
Not sure how many people died from the vaccine but we can upper bound it by assuming that all deaths in the US are from the vaccine. That's 3.465 million in 2021. Since 2022 isn't finished, well use 3.465 million for 2022 as well. That's 6.930 million deaths since the vaccine rolled out.
So 7 million total deaths divided by 256 million who got the shot = 2.7%. Thus we can say confidently that no more than 2.7% of people who got the shot died from the shot. Because everyone who died of any reason only represents 2.7% of people who got the shot.
Thus...
Dead from being born 93-100%.
Dead from the shot <2.7%.
The article is an exercise in misuse of stats. So was my response.
