A couple of years ago, during the height of Covid, they made an attempt to deface the Alamo in San Antonio. That was dealt with by local non police force very quickly and they came to understand they were outnumbered and out gunned and decided they had best exit. stage left. The police later stepped in to give security so there was no repeat.

Interesting. Hill Country is a little rich for my blood. My ancestors moved from Coyell County in 1889 to Haskell County.
We have had a recent influx of out of state people that have driven up our property assessments a lot. I don’t blame them for looking for a nice quiet friendly place to ride this out. Most of the ones I met at the polls recently were very nice people.
