I do enjoy that as well.
I also care about output since I’m training for Master Track & Field.
I’m mainly trying to maintain strength and muscle while decreasing bodyfat. (which is healthy as well)
I am trying to do the decrease body fat thing also.
Right now, I don’t really have an athletic goal to work towards. I’ve thought about picking back up martial arts. But no sparring or board breaking; too old for that now, if I screw up the technique, I break not the board. Back in my younger days the injury was just something that happened, now it takes too long to heal and likely comes with other uncomfortable consequences. I went to a local karate school, not my style so I would have to start over. I didn’t mind that as much as I minded its “weirdness”. It wasn’t a martial art there but a “religion”. I don’t mean just the bowing and saying “Sensei”. Seriously “weird”! So, I guess if I pick it back up, I practice my styles by myself.
