According to documents obtained by the Army Times and Texas Tribune, the M113 armored personnel carrier vehicles will be deployed at 10 positions along the border. Additionally, the Texas National Guard will also increase “aircraft flights and security efforts.”

“These actions are part of a larger strategy to use every available tool to fight back against the record-breaking level of illegal immigration,” the Military Department said in a statement. “The Texas National Guard is taking unprecedented measures to safeguard our border and to repel and turn-back immigrants trying to cross the border illegally.”

Laying land mines would be a good idea.

50 years ago we had sensors that could detect a mouse on the Ho Chi Min Trail.

Concertina wire and land mines would be a very nice touch as well.

Border barriers that are serious can be very effective. They are in many many places of the world. This one is between Pookiestan and India:

They probably spent a fraction of what we have spent and it works too.

I think they use drones now, and probably other methods as well.

They should do it on the southern border as well. We are talking about guarding the borders of Oklahoma Arkansas and Louisiana from the approaching retaliatory FBI/DOJ goon onslaught, aren’t we?

Until Joe Biden uses force against Texas for taking actions isn’t Texas just using smoke and mirrors.

Do something that means something.

No more political symbolic acts.

In other words they actually physically stop people from entering the United States and turn them back to Mexico?

"Laying land mines would be a good idea."

Have to put up some sign language warning signs:

We have a very corrupt federal government imo. So Texas is exercising its constitutionally enumerated power to proceed with fighting invasion while waiting for incompetent, alleged election-stealing Democrats and RINOs to officially close unsecure (imo) border.
"Article I, Section 10, Clause 3: No State shall, without the Consent of Congress, lay any Duty of Tonnage, keep Troops, or Ships of War in time of Peace, enter into any Agreement or Compact with another State, or with a foreign Power, or engage in War, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as will not admit of delay [emphases added]."
