Here is an article by John Nolte saying it was Bob Iger that brought the wokeness to Disney.
Yeah, he most certainly was. I remember the old Iger days, and those brought about way too many woke elements, like retconning LeFou to be gay, including a gay kiss in Star vs. the Forces of Evil, sabotaging Path to 9/11 TWICE, among other things. And even the more successful Disney films under his tenure like Frozen had huge close calls.
To be fair, however, Star Wars already WAS woke even before the Disney sale, in fact, you could even argue it was woke from the very start (also, Iger wasn’t the one who made Kathleen Kennedy the head of Star Wars, George Lucas himself personally nominated her as his successor).
