It's merely a matter of resolution and timing. If I were in Iran's intel service I would would want to get that image to analyze the shadows to see when it was taken and which satellite took it. Releasing the photo probably wasn't a good idea.

But then did anyone gripe about Kennedy releasing U-2 photos of Russian missile sites in Cuba?

It’s no real secret that the fancy NASA space telescopes can turn around and look at the earth. The only people who really think any of this is still secret are the uninformed.
