Yup.
Years ago I was the judge advocate of our local American Legion post. Thus, I had access to the records of all our post members (especially DD-214s).
We had some Navy vets who claimed to have been SEALs. Three of them in particular talked the game when they were in their cups. Blowhards. Their records did not support their claims.
Well, we did have a genuine SEAL in our post. He did not come in often, and when he did he’d have a beer and watch whatever was on TV, then leave.
One day he was in the post bar nursing his beer. These three jamokes were also there, talking their usual smack. Well, the REAL SEAL listened for a bit, ordered another beer, and simply and thoroughly exposed those three guys for the frauds they were. The three gulped down their beers and made their exit.
I have no idea if there are any SEALs on FR. I would not be surprised if there were.
