Not a problem. Just back the Ford F150 Lightning up to the panel box and light the house up.

I know you are joking, but here is our situation. We live in an area near the foothills where the power goes out frequently during any type of windstorm. Our power was out yesterday for ten hours. Sometimes it is out for days at a time. The neighbors and us all have generators so the problem has minimal impact on our routines.

Most of us run our generators using natural gas which these days in our area costs about a quarter of what running them using gasoline does. We have our generator fully metered. We use approximately the same amount of electricity when the power is out that we do when it is working.

Even though an F-150 has a large battery it is still no equal to a dedicated generator especially when the generator is powered by natural gas. If we suggested an F-150 to one of our neighbors as an alternative to their generator... they would laugh at us.

A few months ago, our wonderful power company wanted to know a cell phone # in case of landline failure. About 2 weeks after sending them the cell $, we had power failures up and down California including our area without a cell phone call.

Some time after 11 pm, one night we got a call on our cell # saying we were no longer in an alert status.

So, they woke us up to tell us no more problems.

but what happens when there’s no NG? That’s what they are saying...it isn’t just propane or electricity. Then what?

“Putin’s power grid failure”

I haven’t heard this blamed on Putin yet so thought I’d get it out there.

“...we are doing everything we can,” John Moura, NERC’s director of reliability assessment”

Reminds me of that idiot Biden lackey who blamed high gasoline and diesel prices on Trump’s failure to build any new refineries. Yeah... As if the marxist democrats would allow ANYONE to make a new refinery.

Whenever ANY government lackey / weenie says “We are doing everything we can to XYZ,” you know they aren’t doing anything meaningful. They are applying bandaids and window dressings.

Back in 98 we had an ice storm in the area that I live in currently and it knocked the power out for 2 weeks.

In our area that is not expected to be a problem this year, but the Democrat global warming worshipping idiots are doing all they can to prevent people from being able to use natural gas. So you are correct, if the Republicans are not able to turn this madness around, we will all be sh@t creek without a paddle. The Northeast is already in the process of shutting everything down. When the extent of this disastrous policy is finally realized... it will take years to correct.
