The federal government must rein in the states when it comes to the election of members of the federal congressional HoR and Senate, VPOTUS, and POTUS.
This means we keep throwing the Bad Orange Man at the quadrennial Republican convention every four years without fail until they get off their fat duffs and go about fixing the problem that Mclellan-like Pence in his effeminate weakness blew off in 2021.

Do you really want the VP to have the power to determine which electoral votes count and which do not?
If the VP had that power, Biden would have ensured Hillary as President in 2016.

So, now you want to tear up the Constitution? You do know the Constitution gives unlimited powers to the states on running their elections and selecting things like who representst them in Congress and their electors? I thought it was only democrats who wanted to federalize the elections.
