Infrastructure attacks are far less damaging than they appear, as both German and Japanese experience from WWII show. Plus the Ukes have had months to disperse CCC and war production, and they certainly don't have a lack of enthusiasm unlike Russian forces.
What's really going on is a battle between factions of our own government and some European government who want a quick end to the war vs. those who want to see a significant Russian defeat. Milley (who predicted the Russians would take Kiev in 5 days) has pronounced the Ukrainians too weak to eject the Russians while Austin contradicts him and some US intel sources are still suggesting it was a Russian missile. The Scandinavians have just signed on for big military assistance packages and Poland, the Baltic states and some other Europeans are still all in. Powerful business interests in Germany and France want an end to sanctions against Russia.
And there wouldn't be any WWIII in any case, as a limited campaign simply to boot Russia's butt out of Ukraine would not be a threat to Russia's existence, and her means of conventional resistance as everyone can now see would be almost non-existent.
I read the euro press and US newsfeeds:

Your first mistake. Western news, try my favorite, Indian news for one. The Pentagon and Polish government has already announced it was not Russian missiles.
