The great mystery in all this is why Florida, after passing some very tough laws to ensure election integrity, has not had any of these problems. It’s a real mystery, I tell you.
A shame we have to point out the oddity of an honest state leadership ensuring fair and accurate election counting.
Used to be expected by people.
Within reason, obviously (I won’t embarrass the late Chicago Mayor Daley’s relatives by naming him here. Oops, I just did.)
Funny, one side feels compelled to employ blatant cheating to obtain or hang on to power, leaving the state election system in shambles and throwing basic civil society into a catatonic state in which it fears for its own continued existence (the very picture of instability), whereas the other side is naturally drawn to purge itself of any and all opportunities for “funny business” (not at all funny) or “shenanigans” (not cute things a leprechaun does with a shellaileigh) and rely on pure voting power by free and intelligent citizens, leaving behind a robust polity with excellent prospects for success of all kinds and a population that is quiet and content (the recipe for stability).
