Women lead climate talks’ toughest topic: reparations

SHARM EL-SHEIKH, Egypt (AP) — Men usually outnumber and outrank women negotiators in climate talks, except when it comes to global warming’s thorniest diplomatic issue this year — reparations for climate disasters.

The issue of polluting nations paying vulnerable countries is handed over to women, who got the issue on the agenda after 30 years. Whether this year’s climate talks in Egypt succeed or fail mostly will come down to the issue called loss and damage in international negotiations, officials and experts say. It’s an issue that intertwines equity and economics, balancing the needs of those hurt and those who would pay.

Nearly all of the key players are women and they and others say better gender representation could yield better results.

“I think what we need at this crucial time is empathy ... We need to think about our world in the sense of taking care of our world,” said Chilean Environment Minister Maisa Rojas. “Maybe culturally, historically, they are seen as feminine values.”

And so we get to the crux of the matter.

The Globalcooling/globalwarming/climatechange movement has always been meant to prepare a place for the rest of the world at the US treasury teat.

Why use soldiers when you have lawyers?

Such money would only go to tyrants and strongman dictators who run most of the Third World.

Not to any poor people or even regular citizens.

Change my mind.

And remember in about 1960 most countries in Africa had higher standards of living (real per capita income) than South Korea and Singapore. Governance, support of property rights, lack of corruption, does matter.

And no one serious talks about Great Britain make reparation payments to Singapore. The real per capital of Singapore is higher than Britain’s. $72,000 versus $47,000 (measured in US dollars).

"[...] women negotiators in climate talks, [...]"

I challenge climate talks women to explain why methane and CO2 gases, demonized by politically correct global warming alarmists imo, fail to hold the heat down during a midday solar eclipse on an otherwise sunny day, eclipses known to quickly and temporarily drop temperature by double-digits in some places.

Solar eclipse 2017: How much did the temperature change during the eclipse? (non-FR; 8.22.17)

Also, consider that the nightime temperature in otherwise seasonally warm places typically keeps dropping until a little after sunrise (surprise!), correction welcome.

Also, did Greta Thunberg attend climate talks? Did she speak?

Greta admits the purpose of her politically correct climate activism.

So I am supposed to pay so these women feel good about themselves?
Why should I support high life of billionaire dictators which strip their countries dry?

So now we need reparations for women? Will this be coming just like there’s all this talk of reparations for slavery?

What’s next, reparations for homosexuals? Reparations for fill in the blank with the name of some other favored grievance group?

I guess the US would qualify there. The continent was invaded by the smelly Euros right?? Obviously for its resources. So, we get reparations too, kind of a reverse Marshal Plan! Tell that to the bimbos.

"Introducing women into the debate is a dangerous development. Otherwise rational men get stupid where women are involved."

Only Western men do that. And that's the point.

The ancient Romans blamed the Christians for climate disasters (by making the gods angry). Modern-day climate change activists have, if possible, even less evidence to support their accusations.

They are kinda premature here, aren’t they?

If they are correct, the earth will suffer irreversible destruction in about 8 years, if we don’t “do something.” Wouldn’t every penny spent on “reparations” mean money that can’t be used to “save the earth?”

If these people are not simply just confused, then they are proving this whole Climate Change to be no more than a ripoff by government parasites.
