I think Ivanka thought it would enhance her life to be involved the first time. Instead she got her shoe line cancelled, she became a national pariah on the left where she had most of her friends, she had to move to FLA from her home state of NYC, her father’s house in FLA was raided, the whole family has been sued/under criminal investigation and indictment and on and on. I don’t care for her and do not want her involved in the administration, but I completely sympathize with her desire to stay out of politics. Not everyone is cut out for it generally but I doubt anyone is cut out for what the Trump family has experienced. Honestly, she’s probably infer fir her life and her children’s lives abd is sending out the messafe: Were not involved. Leave us alone.

I think she believes that she can return to living her old life, but that ship has sailed. The libs who kicked her to the curb will not forget or forgive.
Early on in a speech she mentioned something about government paid child care, and I was seeing big red flags in an instant.
I don’t like her, but she hung in there for several years for her father’s sake when her heart probably wasn’t in it, which is admirable. I still think she should’ve been there two days ago just as part of the family support system.
Her father IS trying to ensure a good future for her kids. Does she even get that? Her kids’ future IS more important than going back to hob-nobbing with the vacuous beautiful people. Does she even get THAT?
Good summary. She did not deserve the trashing she got. I also think her mother's death hit her hard. Most people, when a parent dies, reflect back over their relationship with the deceased and how their parent's character and actions influences their own life and goals.
