I share it only to let people know they aren’t alone in their struggles with an elderly parent. I discovered when going through it, that this was common and to not take anything to heart. There are classes and seminars for family members dealing with elderly relatives that are very helpful in knowing what to expect and knowing you are not alone.

Yep, older folks, myself included, tend to be set in our ways and hate change. I’m wicked bad when it comes to junk food myself. My diet is basica,,y a caveman diet, ie mostly meat, I eat only twice a day, and shovel sugar Into me like it’s going out of style. Some day it’s gonna catch up to me I’m sure. Might already be doing so.

The doctor said it was just genetics.
