Polish President Andrzej Duda said the missile that killed two people in eastern Poland on Tuesday was likely fired by Ukrainian forces defending against a wave of Russian missile strikes, and that the incident appeared to be an accident.
“There is no indication that this was an intentional attack on Poland. Most likely, it was a Russian-made S-300 rocket,” Duda said in a tweet Wednesday. He later told a press conference that there was a “high chance” it was an air defense missile from the Ukrainian side and likely had fallen on Polish territory in “an accident” while intercepting incoming Russian missiles.
Duda’s comments were in line with those of two officials briefed on initial US assessments, who told CNN it appears the missile that originated in Ukraine, even though it was Russian-made.

The Poles were kind to withhold an announcement pending an admission by US authorities. Surely they had much evidence the missile was US made.
I was listening to a BBC story, and the reporter was blaming Russia, and trying to get the fellow he was interviewing to blame Russia.
The guy hedged his answer, it was clear he was avoiding answering who fired the missle, but he said, essentially: “Russia started this war, so Russia is to blame for anything that happens”.
They knew early on that it was a Ukrainian missle, but let the propaganda play out for a few days.
But this cnat be true.
The war whores on this site know for a fact that SOB was fired directly from under a bunker just east of Moscow.
They got proof and will link to it..several thousand times.
Then they put up a meme with praying hands with the Ukrainian flag clasp in them.
And no, this is not cheerleading for Russia.
The media is completely corrupt, and they control the public consciousness.
When the FBI is shown to be completely corrupt with the hearings over the next few months, the media will lie, bury and spin the story.
10 years ago there would be some public outrage, and demands to correct the problem. Now there will be just a wet firecracker from a few on the conservative side.
The FBI was involved in getting out the vote and monitoring certain voting locations. They had a huge interest in putting down the Red Wave. And breaking the law means nothing to them.
On the news last night it was said to be a Ukrainian S-300 that likely malfunctioned. Apparently this was an accident.
Zelensky appears to be trying to ‘provoke’ NATO into destroying his enemy. Nothing new under the sun.
Ukraine is starting to sound more like a Paul Pelosi story by the day.
Wow its funny how this part is not being reported most places. We got all sorts of news flashes that Russia struck Poland. And all sorts of calls for Russia to apologize. But once again. The western press was lying or simply stupid pr both. Our press is such propaganda that its simply not worth listening to.

There were ever only two likely possibilities, either a Russian missile overshot it’s target or a Ukrainian anti-missile went stray. It looks like the latter.
Neither side had any interest in “attacking” Poland.
He should have kept his trap shut until he knew the source.
I am not so sure that he was not behind it. Speculation, of course, but he has been trying to drag the US and NATO into the conflict.
