I suspect the rats made a deal with McCarthy. They may have decided taking it all when the country is in the mess it’s in would be too much. So instead of stealing the last few seats they needed they let Republicans have a slim majority..for a price. They stole the Senate and the the Az Governor which were the most important and threw a bone with a string on it.
