The Republican Party needs new McLeadership!

Yep, and honestly I think it's time for a new generation of conservatives to lead. These folks are ending their careers and are trying to preserve their perks and power. They are not visionary.

I like Ted Cruz or Mike Lee, because they are Constitutionalists, and that is what we need. Hawley is Conservative and could be considered. My question is who determines when the vote will happen?

Probably the rules, unless amended by senate vote, which it was not.

One big loser in this election was the far left “media”. The people lied to them on every poll. The said America was “going in the wrong direction under the DemonRATS and then went out and reelected the wrong direction DemocRATs so they can keep up the good work. They said “da conomy” was the most important issue. Then they made baby killing the most important issue while filling out their stacks of ballots. They said that Inflation was their number one issue this election. Then they made baby killing their number one issue at the Mail in Banana Ballot Dumpsters when they voted and voted and voted. The “media’s” own subscribers screwed them.

Traitor McConnell, fiddling as Rome burns, what a POS, with many apologies to the standard everyday P’s OS everywhere, creeps cooks, felons, perverts and general a$$holes who are superior human beings to Mitch.

This was just a web search of what the stinking leftist controlled media tells us. I am thoroughly convinced he has sold his American soul for more than that.

I wouldn’t mind if Cruz took that spot. He’s more of a constitutionalist than most, has argued before the Supreme Court and isn’t Barasso or Thune.

“an effing astronaut!”

John Glenn served as a US Senator from Ohio for several terms. Elected because he was the first American astronaut to orbit the earth, he fell in with the corrupt S&L executive Charles Keating along with John McCain. The George H.W. Bush administration decided not to prosecute the five corrupt US Senators (McCain, Glenn, Riegle, Cranston, and DeConcini) who had intervened with a regulatory agency to stop an investigation of Keating’s S&L which collapsed and defaulted two years after the investigation was stopped.

Three of the Senators (DeConcini, Riegle, and Cranston) served out the remainder of their terms and retired in shame. Glenn, the astronaut, and McCain, the POW war hero, had no shame, ran for reelection and were retained in office by the starry eyed voting sheep who overlooked the highly publicized corruption.

The influence peddling of the Keating 5 was blatant and any decent prosecutor could have obtained a conviction had the DOJ brought the case to trial. Is it possible President George H.W. Bush intervened with his attorney general to drop the prosecution because he didn’t want the spectacle of seeing America’s astronaut hero, John Glenn, tried and sent to prison?

Imagine if the Keating 5 had been prosecuted like normal citizens involved in criminal activity. McCain’s political career would have ended in 1990 and he wouldn’t have been around to sabotage conservatives for 2 1/2 decades. Obamacare would probably have been repealed since McCain cast the deciding vote against repeal to diss President Trump.

Glenn, a Democrat, would have been removed as senator and most likely a Republican would have replaced him, since Ohio was a GOP leaning state. Had he be tried and convicted of influence peddling, Glenn would not have been able to use his political position, and celebrity status, to receive a gratuitous senior citizen ride on the space shuttle in 1998. Gus Grissom’s widow was highly critical of Glenn’s shuttle ride.

Kelly, like Glenn, has leveraged his job as an astronaut into celebrity status. He will likely remain a Senator until he dies in office or decides to retire on his own. Sadly the voting sheep are not discerning.

As in ancient Rome, reasonable, decent people are losing faith and trust in their corrupt leaders. This situation cannot last long.

As people don’t fundamentally change, it wouldn’t surprise me to see this country follow the same trajectory as Ancient Rome and turn rule over to a dictator/emperor. It will ultimately turn out as poorly.

This is a real possibility and if it happens we’re done as a Constitutional republic. We’ll still be something, currently undefinable, but it won’t be America.

Correct. If ever there was an election that begged to be nationalized, this was it. Every candidate for every seat in both Senate and House could have run on these issues and have a definite shot at winning. Instead the best they could do was some thin gruel from McCarthy that fell flat on launch and was never heard of again.

You need to add Minnesota, Wisconsin and Nevada to that list.

Wisconsin is an interesting state.

They almost got a Veto-Proof Republican legislature this time around.

I believe they have a veto proof majority in the state Senate, but fell a couple of seats short in the state House. The issue there, like so many other states, the liberal cities can dominate the statewide positions with their numbers.

https://www.wpr.org/wisconsin-republicans-fail-achieve-veto-proof-majority .... from the article

While they did flip one Senate seat, getting the 22 seats necessary in that chamber, they fell short in the Assembly.

Democratic Gov. Tony Evers, who won reelection Tuesday. Since January of 2021, Evers has vetoed 126 bills that passed the Republican-led legislature, thwarting the party’s efforts to change election laws, gun laws, and more.

As this country further circles the drain, it’ll be interesting if some Democrats that are in vulnerable areas are not inclined to vote with the Republican’s and override Evers. It’s gonna get real cold up there and if things continue, it’s all at the feet of Biden and the Democrats.

Nevada...absolutely gone. They put Mail In Voting into law in 2021, stating that every address gets ballots. I would imagine that means vacant lots and wherever else they can send them. Wondering how a mailed ballot gets delivered and received at a vacant lot, but this is the Dem’s we’re talking about. And I would think that Lombardo could make an argument about it. Find some vacant lots that got ballots, show that no one has lived there and that the owner is a corporation or something that would make anyone using the address, impossible, and then show that there are registered voters using that address. Then track them down. See if they even exist.

It would be little time consuming in the beginning but over time it would get easier and easier and soon you could probably make a real dent in the voter rolls and perhaps convince the people that it’s time to end that nonsense.

Minnesota...done deal. Over in that place. Anyplace that has Ellison and Omar doing anything is a done deal.

Not to mention Neil Bush might have come under greater scrutiny if the Keating 5 had been indicted and convicted.

Interesting point. He probably gave the money to the election riggers to help the cause.
