NBC reporters don’t select which stories get aired. Someone else approved the content but is throwing the reporter under the bus.

Can you imaging if EVERY reporter could crawl in front of a TV camera and blab some unvetted story without it first being reviewed by the editor? Look at the crap that makes it on the air now. Does "Russia Russia Russia" ring a bell?
This guy was let go with the promise that he could get another job at some podunk station AFTER Nazi's embalment...err...retirement. BUT... if he makes another squeak about this story, he'll never work in his chosen profession again.
Poor guy thought he had the story of a lifetime...LOL.
