Just jailing tens of thousands of protesters, in extreme cases the shooting of protesters. Although I do not agree, in many way the fine is much more reasonable. I honestly don’t give a crap about Ukraine or Russia, and all 3 of us have zero high ground to stand on. The only thing I can truly respect these days is a country doing what is best for its people. Let Ukranians judge Ukraine, Russians judge Russia, and let the US remember it exists before it doesn’t.

No we didn’t. But if an American actress had been pictured smiling at a German flak installation wearing a stahlhelm she’d likely face problems when she came back home.

The last time Congress declared war was in June of 1942. It does make a difference.
