Far from it. Like I said, this is tame.
First off, it's better to keep your head below radar until you feel the place (and FReepers) out.. Poke it up every now and then (that's what I had to do my second time around).
If and When you speak your opinion, accept that not everyone will agree, and either made a real debate (without the cursing and drama), or put your head back below the radar and move on.
Do NOT take anything personal, and start return fire, or you become the target.
Eventually, you can work your way in, whether or not you agree with everyone. There have been what I called our 'neighborhood' trolls that were on here for years. They never got the zot because they didn't violate the rules (too much), but gave a little flavor and argument to the site. Some are still here.
If you were a Marine, you went through boot, then you can withstand the rowdiness (within reason) here.
(Btw, in case you don't know, Jim Robinson, the one that has warned you a couple of times IS the owner of this site, and all rules here are his rules.)I still have my Granddad’s beanie from his Freshman year of college, before WWII. Funny, after the war, Freshman beanies and hazing ended. Because the veterans refused to put up with that crap.
