I was a deputy before I left for Japan.. I had never heard that. The part that doesn’t look right is the ‘fight’ part.. doesn’t seem to go along well.
This is what they teach at the corporate level in places. The training video I saw said that if I saw someone go by with a gun, to run the other way. Get help. Let the “professionals” show up on scene and take care of it. If you can’t run, hide somewhere. If you can’t hide, then fight.
Sorry. I couldn’t stomach that.
I just don’t think I could do that, If there were people I worked with in the direction the person was walking.
How could I just run and leave them to the mercies of this armed and hostile deranged person? Perhaps it is bravado talking, perhaps I am a chicken and I don’t know how I would react if I saw that happen.
But inside, I simply don’t think I could run the other way if there were unsuspecting people I knew in the direction that gunman was walking? How on earth could I live with myself?
