Biden’s open promise to defend Taiwan is the best action of his long and very sordid political career. Xi Jinping now knows that invading Taiwan means an all-out war with the USA that would destroy China, so he won’t invade. Biden is still a nut case on “climate change”, but he does seem to have learned a lesson from the Ukraine war disaster.
