There is a problem in Arizona because the people who were elected didn’t pass good election laws. Those were Republican politicians.

The federal government has more money to give, so there is more incentive to buy politicians working for the federal government. So if Republicans elected at the state level didn’t pass good election laws, Republicans elected at the federal level are less likely to do it.

If there are going to be national election laws, businesses who want subsidies from the federal goverment will find candidates that act like the perfect tea party candidate. Once elected, these candidates will make all elections in the country easy to win for the Democrats.

I think the right reaction to the current problems is not to ask for the federal government to fix things. The right reaction is to improve the local government, reduce the legitimacy of the federal government, have a massive tax protest by not paying taxes, and secede. Secession can be by state, or all red counties could secede and form a new union.

The swamp is deep , we get it. The election laws can be simple though. The issue is when things become overly complicated and complex. Ideally the federal mandate would be voter ID , in person voting, counted votes next day are void. Problem solved, right? …. I do understand this threatens a certain group of politicians but the people seem to want this kind of law….at least from the polls ive seen, for whatever thats worth. I also understand this makes too much sense for it happen… like term limits.
