U.S. House Control Hinges on Tight Races After Democrats Take Senate
US News ^ | 14 Nov 22 | N/A

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -Control of the U.S. House of Representatives hinged on Monday on several tight races that could secure a majority for Republicans following midterm elections that saw President Joe Biden's Democrats beat expectations and retain the Senate.

Republicans were closer to taking the House, having won 211 seats compared to Democrats' 206, with 218 needed for a majority. But the final outcome might not be known for days as officials continue counting ballots nearly a week after Americans went to the polls.

After clinching the Senate over the weekend and dispelling Republican hopes for a "red wave" of gains, Democrats portrayed their performance as vindication of their agenda and a rebuke of Republican efforts to undermine the validity of election results.

Other high-profile uncalled races include the Arizona governor contest, in which Republican Kari Lake, who promoted former President Donald Trump's baseless 2020 election fraud claims, was trailing her Democratic opponent.

There are still some 18 outstanding House races, including 13 considered closely competitive, according to a Reuters compilation of the leading nonpartisan forecasters. Ten of the remaining contests were in liberal-leaning California.

We’ll get whatever Deep State gives us.

The real question is while both states have RCV-enabled machines, early voting, and mail-in voting, why didn’t Deep State take FL’s and TX’s, too?

We need to know the answer to that one.

They’ll just keep counting until the Democrats win.

They call victims of election theft, deniers. Yet the “deniers” are the victims of theft, and the real deniers are those denying the actual votes to be counted.

We do. Mail in ballots were brought to you by a republican prez. Not to mention lockdowns, masking, travel restrictions, bumpstock bans, caravans of illegals…. How much covid free money.
Heck he doubled down after leaving the White House on the vax. How many taxpayer dollars on that.

2016: Trump can’t possibly win.
2022: DeSantis can’t possibly lose.

My prediction was 50-50 Senate and 218-217 DEM House. I’m going to end up closer than most.

A farce. They’ll be “counting” until the Democrats win. Democracy is dead.

See, I have been told unless you can prove it there was no fraud. It’s like this; you wake up and there is foot of snow on the ground but not a cloud in the sky and you never saw one flake fall CAN YOU PROVE IT SNOWED THE NIGHT BEFORE?

I’ll take the bet that Republicans will take the House - $250 donation to FR if I am correct, $125 no matter what to FR.

“Democrats portrayed their performance as vindication of their”...

cheating skills.

We need to get more weapons so we can export our “democracy” around the world!

It's been my observation that if anyone flips, it will be a Republican/RINO.

"Dewey Defeats Truman" was an incorrect banner headline on the front page of the Chicago Daily Tribune (later Chicago Tribune) on November 3, 1948, the day after incumbent United States president Harry S. Truman won an upset victory over his opponent, Governor Thomas E. Dewey of New York, in the 1948 presidential election. It was famously held up by Truman at a stop at St. Louis Union Station following his successful election, smiling triumphantly at the error.

Weird huh! Back in 1948 I doubt they had voting tabulators connected to the internet , or wireless or connected to other countries. Volunteer people in every precinct counted the votes by hand until the job was done and it was done by the next morning. We're one day short of a week of counting and we still don't know who won the house. It's unacceptable!

It's not a democrat verses republican thing, it's 1948 verses 2022.

You clearly haven’t gotten the memo.

The letter after the name means jack anymore.

The ONLY reason political parties still exist is to give voters the illusion of choice.

A pol is either loyal to our former republic or to Deep State.

The pols who’ve brought us to this are Deep State.

We need to find, run, and elect MAGA candidates in EVERY party.

Until we do that, we will suffer under Deep State.

As for Trump, you know why I love that man...

He learns from his mistakes.

If we can get him back in office, God help Deep State.

in Florida, a mail in ballot must be requested and ID must be shown. That is completely different than ballots being mass mailed to everyone with zero controls. Many people receive multiple ballots and others receive none.

GOP Wise Up: Midterm Elections Reveal Critical Difference Between “Ballots” and “Votes”

https://waynedupree.com/2022/11/ballots-and-votes-midterm-election/

Back in 2018, I saw something happen that scared the crap out of me: Ballot Harvesting. It happened in California. Republicans were ahead in so many House races when I went to bed, and by the time I woke up the next morning, they had all lost. I was horrified and scared to death. I wrote a piece on “Ballot Harvesting,” and I warned everyone that this was a “trial run” and Dems would be using this tactic in the future… and two years later, thanks to the COVID pandemic that just happened to hit us at the “perfect time,” Dems were using “ballot harvesting” to install a decrepit, old, nasty buffoon into the White House.

And it all went down the same way that it did in California. People went to bed thinking Trump had won, and then overnight, everything changed.

I have said all along, Dems will do ANYTHING to hold onto power. Anything. And this Ballot Harvesting is a winner for them. It’s changed the game, actually.

Right now, so many clueless idiots are blaming President Trump for “underperforming” in the midterms, and I will admit, I was so bummed early in the morning yesterday, but my late morning, I was already over it, and looking at what happened without hyper-emotion. We actually did pretty damn well, considering the state of this county and the political polarization we’re dealing with. Was there a nationwide “red wave,” no. But that’s not Trump’s fault. It’s the ballots…
