Good about Florida.
The REAL danger is those states that automatically send every voter a mailin ballot.
Imagine Joe Blow, who doesn’t even care about politics, getting one in the mail. He ignores it. Several days before the election, a couple of young, nose pierced, purple haired, overweight “girls” knock on his door.
Girls: “Hi Joe, we’re from the Burnie-Pelosi Institute for Voting Rights, did you fill in and mail your ballot?”
Joe: “Nah, I’m not really interested in voting.”
Girls: “Can we have it?”
Joe: “Is that legal?”
Girls: “Sure! Governor Newsom/Sunnie Hostin/Jimmy Kimmel said so.”
Joe hands it over.
Now, if Joe was a shrewd businessman, he’d ask how much they’d give him for it. Otherwise, he doesn’t care so he just gives it.
Imagine this happening all over the place.
Because it did.
Whether a person turned in a mailin ballot should be confidential—not public—information. But even so, door-to-door in the big city is a democrat thing. Not so out in the rural or suburban hinterlands.
We have to figure this out—it’s almost too late.
I think at this point only a hot war will fix it.
