Rep. Jim Banks: Oversight would be 'major priority' of GOP-led House
Rep. Jim Banks, R-Ind., discusses Republicans' lackluster midterm performance and how the GOP should take action in Congress to benefit the American people.
He didn't mention democrat voting/ballot hijinks.
He mentions a slim GOP majority passing different laws, such as bringing down inflation... With a democrat Senate, Jim, really?
He does expect a bunch of House committee hearings. Like, I dunno, Trey Gowdy-esque? Lots of talk, no action?
Now he says he supports McCarthy for Speaker...
But he does support Trump... Kinda... Doesn't endorse, though.
Yes, Banks omitted reason #1, imho. Voting procedures, mailins, ballots to everyone, harvesting, etc.
I don’t discount outright cheating, but you or someone here mentioned, Ds knew blatant manipulation of tabulations would be scrutinized, so they doubled down on COVID era procedures, mainly mailins.
Perhaps he didn’t mention it because it’ll be difficult to change in swing states and will become an R tactic as well in ‘24.
Meanwhile, Ds will move on to the next underhanded scheme, while Rs remain one step, one election behind the times. Think 2 steps ahead.
Sad to say, but adhereing to the rules doesn’t win squat against those slimes.
