Democrats defied historical trends and defeated several candidates backed by former President Donald Trump to keep control of the Senate, providing enormous relief for President Joe Biden.

"Thank you, Nevada!" Cortez Masto said in a tweet Saturday evening after its two most populous counties, Clark and Washoe, finished counting mail-in ballots.
Democratic Sen. Mark Kelly of Arizona won his re-election contest in Arizona, NBC News projected Friday evening, directing all eyes to Nevada.
Both Laxalt and Masters were endorsed by Trump and promoted his false claims about the presidential race he lost. Laxalt has said the 2020 election was "rigged."
Biden can now count on partners in the Senate to confirm his judicial and administration appointments, even if his legislative agenda ends up effectively blocked because of a Republican takeover of the House.
The president’s party typically loses ground in Congress during the first midterm elections as Americans seek to put a check on power. But weak GOP candidates and voter concern about issues like abortion rights and election denialism galvanized the Democratic base and turned off swing voters in states that might have been winnable for Republicans under different circumstances. *** Most voters said they were disappointed or angry about the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. And 60% said abortion should be legal in most cases.
Democrats and abortion rights supporters were galvanized after Tuesday's results.
Ballot measures to support abortion rights won in Michigan, California and Vermont, while an anti-abortion measure on the ballot in Kansas was defeated, NBC News projects. In Montana, voters rejected a measure that would force "medical care to be provided for any infant born alive after an attempted abortion, induced labor, or other method." ***

as opposed to Hump-backed Democrats...?
The rigged election system. One party rule is here.
The Steal is the only issue.
Premature declaration.
See how they immediately target Trump. Not a word about how Mitch denied funds to both men for many critical weeks, while early voters voted.
Is Laxalt conceding?
Mitch and Kevin sold out the nation. They sabotaged the elections
There is no saving America now. It’s basically up to God. The enemy within is the GOP establishment and Mitch McConnell. By not securing election integrity, the dems have now cemented most control over states.
Pray
The most evil people in the world are in charge, they know you know they are rigging the elections and they don’t care that you know. They want you to lay down and die. The only question is, are you going to fight or join the worms? The funny thing is... until you realize this... “You are going to have to fight for your own freedoms every day or you will lose them” You aren’t going to be happy after any battle for a long time and this is not about us. We are up against pure evil... fight it...and be happy that you are able to fight it.
Well I didn’t see anyone stopping the steal now we know what was going on when the cameras went fine for eight hrs.. it’s a given one party rule dems will never give up power they will never give up mail in voting it keeps them in power
If Walker wins, would Manchin, who will absolutly lose in 24 switch?
Pointing the finger Trump is utter bullsh$t and something one would expect from a RINO.
If the finger should be pointed at anyone, it should be Mitch McConnell, who went out of his way to sabotage candidates that he feared wouldn't support him as Republican leader.
Lindsey Graham promoting national abortion bans also should be blamed.
I noticed. The blame lies with McConnell and the dem cheat machine.
When the population votes the way it does because they want to allow the murder of babies, then you know the nation is lost. God’s judgment will take place, He has to. It’s only a matter of when, and this nation is so deserving of it.
That is the $100B question.
With this result, I see the turnout for Walker-Warnock dropping considerably - and paradoxically Walker benefits from low turnout.
Manchin switching sides has always been the play, if McConnell has even half the wisdom ascribed to him he is shaping up an offer of committee chairmanships, nice offices and beautiful parking spaces to pull him over. They should do it now to short circuit lame duck shenanigans.
Or, Linda’s odd abortion push. Don’t leave that out of the equation.
Is it REALLY over, or is it LIEberal wishful thinking?
Have the Republicans conceded?
Are votes still being counted?
Have the Republican lawyers got involved?
