But even if we take the house by a slim margin, the message of this election is that, no matter how bad D rule is, they can’t lose power. Power today is in the administrative state. A weak R majority in the house has no control whatsoever over ubiquitous deep-state abuse. It will take a big electoral change to rein in the deep-state and this year proves that big electoral changes that are not approved by the deep-state are no longer possible.
The message of this election to D’s is to double down, regardless of the result in the house. The next two years are going to be a wild ride for America and the world.
