He should have taken his salary during his 4 years, saved it, and given to Republican candidates.
No. I’m afraid you’re wrong. The RNC is not supposed to be the ex president’s piggyback.
Yeah, I've noticed that on Free Republic over the past 25 years.
DeSantis isn’t the enemy. I’m still thinking a Trump/DeSantis ticket makes sense in 24.
But what’s your point? DeSantis shouldn’t accept any donations from anyone we don’t like?
Or that he’s tainted and compromised by implication? It’s a dirty game. Insisting on purity is naïve in the extreme.
Trump wants to hang onto his campaign money, in order to hang onto his campaign money.
The problem with a Trump\DeSantis ticket is - Who gives up Florida’s consider electoral votes? If Trump\DeSantis ticket wins Florida, if Trump takes them, DeSantis can’t have them!
The Constitution says that electors can’t vote for two candidates from the same state. Remember Prez and VPrez are two separate offices, even though we now conveniently pretend they are not. Trump needs to establish residency elsewhere, back in NY maybe. Though with a hostile state AG gunning for him he probably shouldn’t.
Typo
consider = considerable
The residency issue is a red herring. Trump could easily establish residency in another state, even post election. He’s not stuck with New York or New Jersey.
The better argument against a Trump/DeSantis ticket is that DeSantis is doing a great job in Florida, a critical state, and will be in fine shape even as Governor to run for Prez. in 2028. But, whatever is the strongest ticket in 24 is most critical, IMHO.
Cheating is only going on in Blue States but these Blue States have the populations, and these populations are satisfied with the results. Plus you have a GOP unwilling to fight or interest in winning.
From the linked NY Post article:
In October, Trump dug into his massive $92 million war chest to send $20 million to an allied super PAC backing his endorsed Senate candidates, Bloomberg News reported — a measly 22% of his accumulated funds. The ex-president’s cash was used for seven-figure ad buys in Senate races in Georgia, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Arizona — where Trump’s chosen candidate, Blake Masters, lost his bid to defeat Democratic Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly.
If he would do it!
It has tobe done before the campaign or it will be politically used against them. Constitutional details only apply to Republicans.
I agree Florida residents deserve a full-time governor.
McConnell is the enemy and should be screamed at.
No, I don’t. Can you read?
Exactly.
Have you even given ONE OUNCE of thought to the legal bills these bastards have brought on Trump, AND as far as the rallies are concerned these HUGE rallies give these candidates a HUGE platform to get their message and vote out, these rallies are NOT CHEAP, you need to get your head out of your butt GIVE ME A DAMN BREAK!!!!
