I read today on another message board that it’s possible that Dems could vote to have Liz as Speaker. Is that possible?

Sure its possible. Anyone can be Speaker, you don’t even have to be in Congress. Just need enough votes.

Now, is it probable? Hell no.

They have already talked to Kevin McCarthy about it. That tells me that if they keep cheating to win the House again that they plan to vote her in.The Speaker does not need to be a member of Congress which Cheney is not. This may have been their plan all along. Cheney got along well and did the bidfing of Nancy Pelosi on the J6 committee maybe Nancy would be willing to retire and give up the gavel to someone who hates Trump as much as she does.

Possible but not probable. If I understand their rules correctly.

My guess is, if enough Dems support her, she could win. There are enough anti-MAGA Republicans to carry her over.
