About 20% of Toyota/Lexus sales are electrified vehicles. The Prius is getting really dated & needs an upgrade, I think. But maybe they’re just trying to keep it more affordable.

...Do you not count hybrids as EVs? Toyota has sold around 2.6MM Prii in just these US. Tesla is just over a million.

And that doesn't include the hybrid Corollas, Camrys, Highlanders, RAV4s, and so on.

Toyotas are much more affordable, easy enough to work on, and include options for trucks or SUVs. Tesla's SUVs START off more expensive than a decently loaded Tundra! And their retarded-looking truck is still waiting to actually get made...
