the left thinks that anyone who works for or profits from something outside the public sector has a vault full of Scrooge McDuck money.

$24/hr for fast-food service? Really? Do you want self-service kiosks? Because that's how you get self-service kiosks.

I would hold out for double hourly breaks, free catered meals and beer on tap in the employee lounge. That sounds like Twitter before Elon.

Good lesson to put into high school economics classes
I have a business. I have to use my Line of Credit quite often, then struggle to pay the money back. Clients are often slow to pay
An idea for high school class:
Each student opens a business. Teacher puts obstacles business owners commonly face.
Have to account for how the money is spent, and collecting money from clients
Pay taxes (federal and local)
Just like in the real world.
See what their profit margins are and if they can pay themselves

Never heard of it. Harvard Square isn’t what it used to be. Since Out of Town News moved out there isn’t any reason to go there anymore.

As a kid, I always loved the illustrations of Scrooge’s bulldozer leveling the ca$h in the bunker.

“Harvard Square isn’t what it used to be.”
Lol.
When I was there there were daily anti Vietnam war riots.
They were real riots too, not the “insurrection” crap the J6 clowns talk about...

It went upscale. No room for marginal, kooky shops and start ups. They moved down the street to Central Square or up the street to Davis Square.

True, but in those days, Harvard might actually have deserved its reputation. I mean, a good reputation.
