Anyone on the ground in AZ have any real info?
I am hard pressed to see how this thing was even close let alone Kari losing, but I’m not on the ground there.
It seems that Hobbs is only releasing results at a trickle starting with precincts that are favorable to Democrats. That explains why Hobbs is up 27,000 votes. The remaining 500,000 votes include ~300,000 early ballots that were dropped off on Election Day, including mine. They anticipate that those will be highly favorable to Kari, between 60-70%, which will swing the race to Kari.
In their opinion, Hobb’s office is deliberately slow walking the results in order to cast doubt on Kari’s campaign. They did that during the primary when it took them 5 days to announce her win, so they’re perfectly capable of it. We had major issues in my county, Pinal, when several polling places ran out of ballots at 9 am and the SOS’s office didn’t bring additional ballots until 5:30 pm. Voters were furious!
Now we just have to hope that Kari can bring Masters and Finchem over the finish line with her. Abe is only down 16,000 so he will be fine.
