There is nothing wrong with this process taking a long time.
It’s not a long time. The anti-theft strategy was to have huge number of Republican voters fill out their ballot and bring it to the Dropboxes on Election Day.
Every one of those ballots have to be name checked, address checked, and perhaps the law in Arizona requires a signature check. That process could not begin until the polls closed on Election Day, because the voters did not bring the ballot until then. A lot of screening has to take place starting at that time.
That has to happen before you can even start the count. This delay is a good thing. It’s not time to cheat. It’s time that prevents cheating.
