Poe's law is an adage of Internet culture saying that, without a clear indicator of the author's intent, every parody of extreme views can be mistaken by some readers for a sincere expression of the views being parodied.

Are you really saying that you are so dumb you actually took my joke seriously? And you are capable of typing?

I can't take that claim seriously.

Read enough posts and it’s not something that stands out. If you check, you’ll find it’s common for posters to question some site/publication or another because they printed something the poster didn’t like. Then, a week later, they’ll use the same place as a source because it printed something they agreed with.
