I am reading the Fossil Future right now and like it very much. Is there a point in reading “The Moral Case ...” too? I got the impression that Fossil Future is him making the same case, just in a more refined way.

The difference between the two books comes down to defense vs offense. The main thrust of "The Moral Case For Fossil Fuels" is debunking the claims that the use of fossil fuels is immoral because it will lead to disaster. Epstein also introduces his theme that humans must "impact" nature in order to survive and flourish; this theme is developed more fully in "Fossil Future".

Both books are worthy of study. I "read" them both via Audible, but I now have them both in hardcover.
