Besides, those same people would turn on DeSantis as soon as they see he’s got a chance to win.

I’ll support DJT for POTUS in 2024, with Ron DeSantis as his VPOTUS for four years so he can “learn the WDC ropes” and help DJT drain the swamp.
Then, Ron Desantis will be “briefed in” as POTUS and will keep MAGA alive for 8 more years!
DJT needs four years to get even with ALL THE BASTARDS who plotted against him for (when he becomes 47!) 10 years!

if we were to apply Trump’s own tough logic to Trump’s election night last night, he would say something like this:

After they “dethrone” Trump they can then stab DeSantis in the back.
Trump has suggested that he has some real dirt on Desantis. My guess is that the left does as well. Something from the past. If they can get Desantis to run and then trash him then they win. I certainly hope there is no skeleton in the closet.
Even some “mainstream” conservatives (i.e. Ben Shapiro) are praising DeSantis.Yea, for now.
The (too) fast talking Shapiro does not like Trump...period.
Trump need to step away and let the next guy have a shot.
However...if Trump is selfish enough to run, we can’t have DeSantis run against him as it will split the party.
Trump is the elephant in the room and we have to let him run it out of his system until the opening is there.
Fraud has been VERY powerful with primarily the method of mail-in voting via dropboxes, etc.
But to defeat it, Trump needs to be humble as MAGA is BIGGER than him.
He will be remembered on the Right by his replacing three justices on SCOTUS that led to the reversal of the monstrous Roe vs Wade decision.

I heard Ben Shapiro on his radio show on Wednesday for about 10 minutes. He was bad mouthing Trump as fast as he could which is pretty fast! I imagine his whole 3 hour show was like that.
