For years, law enforcement has been using non-lethal weapons, including LRAD – Long-Range Acoustic Device – which blasts sound waves to cease behaviour by temporarily disorienting the intended victims. But while these devices serve practical and easily identifiable purposes for both military and law enforcement, there exists a more insidious use for this kind of technology.
In February of 2022, alternative media reported on the use of LRAD during anti-vaccine mandate protests in Canberra. Australian Federal Police admitted using the device during a Canberra Convoy Freedom rally outside Parliament House.
A number of videos and images hit social media showing people with various injuries, such as heat sores, rashes, and what looked like allergy-induced welts. There were also reports of sunburn and heatstroke symptoms, weakness, and temporary and permanent hearing damage.
LRAD has become a staple weapon of choice used to deal with riots and protests. Portable LRAD units were photographed with police during the Canadian Truck Convoy Freedom protests in Ottawa, Canada, in February 2022.
LRAD is often used in loudspeaker mode for crowd communications, but it can also be turned on in infrasound and ultrasound modes to cause different injuries and sicken and debilitate rioters or protestors. Because we cannot hear infrasound or ultrasound, we have no idea the weapon is being used on us until it’s too late.

How long before they’re used in the US of A?
Australia deserves the coming Chinese Communist takeover.
Study up on it. Interesting stuff.
If they have proof that these devices are being used against dissenters, I can’t believe more Australians are not up in arms about this. What has happened to that country, it seems to have become a police state in many respects.
Not sure but it would have come in handy during the summer of love. Most likely the dem mayors would give it to Antifa and BLM to use on the police.
“Because we cannot hear infrasound or ultrasound,”
You would feel infrasound. Ultrasound is super easy to detect. Look up “bat detector”.
Should be a ‘War Crime’, is it against the Geneva convention? is it against the 8th amendment?
I wouldn’t be surprised if they won’t be out in full force next election when the rats steal that one too.
They already are, as well as more subtle weapons applied to dissidents to quietly degrade health. Havana Syndrome has gotten a lot of press, because it happened to important people, but there are a ton of cases where civilians report it being used on them, but the media will not cover it.
In my tagine is a link to links I assembled, which include legendary NSA whistleblower Bill Binney, talking about them blowing a hole through shielding he installed in his ceiling with some beam they tried to hit him with from an airborne platform.
I have actually felt the vibrations Navy Yard Shooter Aaron Alexis reported. They are real. It is no fun.
Things are so much worse than normies could ever imagine.
Our elections are rigged, and we are not raiding DC. Nobody is doing anything right now.
FWIW, I have felt one of these in my house, in the US for my work. And others at my site have as well.
Australians don't have arms anymore.
There is no proof such weapons were used in Australia because such weapons were not used in Australia. This article is just not accurate.
As for Australia becoming a police state - most of that impression is also false and at least some of it is based on the deliberate spread of misinformation. But there is some truth to it in a couple of states - especially Victoria (where I live) which has a hard left socialist government. Constitutionally, the state governments are a lot more powerful in Australia than the federal government is, and the Victorian government really is out of control, and there really isn’t a lot that can be easily done to reign it in - most protections against tyranny exist at a federal level, and don’t apply to state governments unless and until there is a complete breakdown of public order.
The Australian states wrote the Australian constitution - and deliberately put limits on the federal government they didn’t put on themselves. For the most part, they haven’t acted in a despotic fashion but there have been periods when some states have and Victoria is a long way in that direction now. If you wanted to call Victoria a police state, you wouldn’t be far wrong - but it is important to understand it isn’t the entire country. Would you want America as a whole defined by its most left wing state?
We have an election in Victoria in two weeks - unfortunately, at the moment, it looks like the current Labor government will be returned - they have a very large majority and even if the conservative side of politics does fairly well, it will be hard to haul that back. Labor has been proven - formally proven - to have corrupted the electoral process in this state, but because they have also corrupted the law enforcement process, they got away with paying back public money they used to buy votes, without anybody actually being prosecuted. There are currently active probes into corruption by the government that they’ve managed to delay release of reports until after the election. It’s a real mess.
