Although this ballot would require an Amendment to the State Constitution requiring an I.D. to vote, the expanded reading of the ballot is more defining vs the condensed version. Don't be deceived. If it is sponsored and supported by the aclu and naacp then that's enough for me to be against it.
A “yes” vote supports adding several election and voting-related policies to the Michigan Constitution, including some policies that exist in statute and others which would be new. Proposal 2 would add the following policies to the state constitution:
• creating a nine-day early voting period;
requiring the state to fund a number of absentee ballot dropboxes;
• providing that local governments can accept charitable and in-kind donations to assist with running elections as long as donations are disclosed and aren’t from foreign entities;
When Obama was running for Prez in 2008-— some of his campaign donations were listed as coming from Georgia.
A further review found that GA was NOT Georgia-—
The phone number on the donation tracked back to GAZA.
So much for NO outside donations.
When I seen the part about donations, what came to my mind was the millions of dollars which came from Zuckerberg and was used directly to alter the election process here in Michigan, and this amendment to the Constitution of Michigan would protect such funds to be used in the future, in order to manipulate the voting process.
Michigander here....I was fooled by a television ad until I actually read the ballot for myself. Nope on all.
Agree, I live a block from my polling Precinct and after reading the ballots in detail, I posted a sign outside that reads, “don’t be deceived, vote no on ballots 1-2 and 3”
It is placed among another 25 conservative signs in my yard.
